Tyson Luke Fury was born on August 12, 1988, in Manchester’s Wythenshawe neighbourhood, to Irish parents Amber and John Fury, and was raised in a house in Styal. 

Fury was born three months early and weighed only one pound (450 g). Tyson was named by his father, John, after Mike Tyson, the heavyweight world champion at the time.

John stated: “The doctors told me he had a slim chance of survival. I had lost two prematurely born daughters in the same way.”

Boxing career as an amateur

Fury represented both England and Ireland as an amateur. Fury has three times represented Ireland at the international level. He began his career at the Holy Family Boxing Club in Belfast, Northern Ireland, before moving on to the Smithboro Club in County Monaghan, Ireland.

In a double international match against an experienced Polish team in 2007, Ireland lost 12-6 overall; Fury, on the other hand, won both of his fights in Rzeszów and Bialystok. WWE (2019)

On October 4, 2019, Fury appeared in an angle on WWE’s SmackDown on Fox debut. He appeared as a fan during Braun Strowman’s match, and Strowman later threw one of his opponents, Dolph Ziggler, at Fury. Following the match, Fury attempted to scale the barricade but was stopped by security.

Following this, WWE announced that Fury would have an open mic on the next episode of Raw. As the two traded insults, Fury appeared in the final segment of the 7 October 2019 episode of Raw and demanded an apology from Strowman. They then got into a brawl, which was broken up by some of Strowman’s fellow wrestlers.

Fury and Strowman’s match at WWE Crown Jewel was confirmed on 11 October 2019, with the contract signed on the 15 October episode of Monday Night Raw. At Crown Jewel, Fury defeated Strowman by count-out.

Fury is said to have received £11.9 million ($15 million) for his participation. Later, on the 8 November 2019 episode of Smackdown at the Manchester Arena, Fury shook hands with Strowman and suggested they form a tag team before being challenged by the B-Team (Bo Dallas and Curt Axel), whom they defeated.
